I can't believe 2011 is coming to a close. Holidays are here and a new year approaches. Perhaps now is a good time to pause and reflect...

At one of my last jewelry shows this year a charming kind customer told me she loved my website and always checked my blog. "You know, you haven't updated in awhile! I love reading blogs and would love to know what is going on behind the scenes with you." My heart sank. I just get heavily wrapped up in design, and business development that I've let the blog opportunity slide. I love connecting with my clients in person and talking one on one. I've met several women (and gift giving men!) through the jewelry pieces I've created for them. It is inspiring for me to be connected by a mutual admiration of a small piece of art that simply makes you feel special. So, I'd like to connect with my readers more by posting more news, insights and such. Feel free to write back. I do listen to your comments, suggestions and questions.
A huge hug and thank you to my lovely highly motivated assistant Sunny! Yes her name says it all. She is truly bright. I'll never forget that one late night in March we were getting close to the finishing touches of a large catalog order. Drinking coffee, listening to loud music and bursting into random dance moves to keep us awake. It was 3am and I kept telling her that she should go home and I'd just finish up tagging the jewelry in the morning. Sunny strongly said "Sara I'm not leaving until we are done! We can totally do this." She has a rock hard work ethic and she's become a great friend. Thanks for all you do girl.
SunnyKlutch was the latest addition to the stores offering my collection this year. Definitely talk to Elizabeth, the store owner, for some fashion inspiration. Her design selection is refreshing and well made. In 2011 Klutch was awarded best handbags in St. Louis by St. Louis Magazine. I have to add, I'm in love with the yoga clothing towards the back of the store. www.klutchstyle.com
Pool Tradeshow in Las Vegas has been on my mind these last two months. I've been accepted as a wholesale vendor for the February market so I'll be making more connections with store owners across the U.S. It will be my first show of this kind. It's concept, my business plan and the timing seem to fit really well.
I have a collection of nature inspired 14k gold and silver pieces under development that I will unveil late January. I know, pretty vague but I promise to not disappoint. Gorgeous stones and organic figures. They are close to complete, but I don't want to jinx it! Ok, well a couple photos won't hurt...

I'm currently writing from Bogota, Colombia spending time with family and coming across inspiration for jewelry. Having this time to be away from my studio has also givin me time to catch my breath and review. My collection is blooming, so I'm grateful for the fans of my jewelry, Sunny's hard work, wonderful store owners and goals like Pool Tradeshow that keep me motivated.
I hope you also notice the things that keep you happy and continue to pursue them in 2012. Thanks for reading, enjoy your holidays and have a safe and bright new year!
