We all have that great girl friend that lives far off in a neighboring city, distant state or country. You don't talk everyday, week or month but once you hear her distinct "hello" over the phone, it feels like your last conversation was a few days ago. You can imagine her smile the moment she talks.

I had a friend, Tracey, ask me to craft a piece: a sturdy, sterling silver, romantic, antiqued compass for her long distance friend.  Tracey wanted to give the compass to acknowledge the long distance between them, but to also remind each other that distance just doesn't matter anymore...they'll always be able to connect. I love Tracey's concept, and enjoyed bringing it to life.
